Bachelor of Arts in Science and Technology
Science and technology are central to the research and communications activities of society and organizations. This major integrates several essential subjects that will help you function in technical roles effectively and creatively in any type of organization. You will learn the technical skills used to evaluate studies, conduct research, and make business projections. You will develop critical thinking and analysis skills giving you the ability to distinguish authentic work from false results and claims. You will be able to assess, analyze, summarize, and transform data into useful information and knowledge. Through case studies, you will learn how new scientific discoveries become widely used technologies. You will even get a glimpse of the future as we examine possible new scientific breakthroughs and technologies, and their implications for life in the years ahead. All of this is achieved by learning essential practical skills in mathematics, statistics, science, computer and information technology, as well as research design and methods. Your experience will culminate in an integrative project that you design and carry out with guidance from our faculty.

Admissions Requirements
Candidates for BACP are evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Must have completed 40 quarter hours of transferable credits in academic subjects.
- The applicant’s professional commitment and written language skills are evaluated through the Statement of Purpose and Commitment and the confidential recommendations
- At least three years of work experience beyond high school.
- The applicant will participate in a interview with as many as three members of the DU community.
- Entrance examinations such as the ACT or SAT are not required.
