M.Ed., University of Northern Colorado, is former mayor of Aurora, Colorado. Before serving four terms as mayor of Aurora, Paul served eight years as an at-large member of the Aurora City Council. During his tenure as mayor, Paul helped the city to realize its full potential for development near Denver International Airport and E-470, both of which border or lie within Aurora, by providing the infrastructure to capitalize on those opportunities without impacting services to existing residential and business areas. A retired educator of 31 years, Paul is a member of numerous civic organizations, and in 1983 and 1996 he was named “Man of the Year” by the Aurora Chamber of Commerce and received the Leadership in Metropolitan Cooperation award from the Greater Denver Corporation.
