Fundraising and philanthropy are critical to the success of not-for-profit charitable organizations. Strengthening and enhancing a good reputation by building support through strong and lasting leadership and relationships is very important in building excellence. Fiscal responsibility and transparency also send the right messages to potential supporters. Identifying and helping organizations establish and sustain donor support helps ensure the long term existence of the organization. Ethical strategies in fundraising and maintaining the donor support must be part of every discussion as an organization sets goals and plans. The ability to organize staff, boards, volunteers, and resources is another skill which is examined through case studies and experiences.
