Advanced Board Development - 4 credits
This course explores the opportunities and challenges of working effectively with a board of directors. A knowledgeable and effective board of directors is instrumental in the success of the organization. How can the board, the CEO, and the fundraising professionals work together most effectively? What are their respective roles? Students will learn how to evaluate the skills and knowledge needed by board members and will describe and design how to implement a development plan for a board of directors.
