Leadership and Organizations Courses
Value Driven Decision Making - 4 credits
This course explores both objective and subjective decision making models and the ways that values and human factors enter the decision making process. Emphasis is placed on decision making for organizational effectiveness. Decision making based on decision trees will be discussed as will decision bias and judgment heuristics. Students also explore decision making under conditions of uncertainty and ambiguity through complex cases. Each student is encouraged to identify how his or her own values enter into decision making and how these values support or conflict with the values found in a particular organization.
