Developing Human Capital in Organizations - 4 credits

Many organizations acknowledge that people are their most important resource. Today, organizations are looking internally for innovation, creativity and strategic change, and in doing so are recognizing anew the importance of human capital. Students in this course learn why human capital is regarded as so important today and explore concrete strategies for structuring and sustaining the development of human capital. Concepts explored in this course include: shared vision, the connected workforce, access to information and knowledge management, as well as the ideas about the communications and reward structures that help organizations thrive.
