Leadership is one of the most widely used words - but misunderstood concepts - discussed today. The need for effective leadership has become abundantly clear in recent years. The development of leadership skills is needed in all types and sizes of organizations, and is not limited to those at the top of the organizational chart.
Every organization faces increasingly complex challenges and opportunities generated by an increasingly global environment and limited resources. Graduates of this 21st century leadership program will possess the enduring portable skills providing strategic approaches to innovation, change, risk, crisis, and knowledge management. Graduates will also develop the ability to cultivate the knowledge and contribution of people, sustain organizational learning, guide the vision and mission of organizations, support the public good, and make the choice of ethical leadership. The Master of Professional Studies in Leadership and Organizations provides you with the analytical and communication skills necessary to be an effective leader, with the ability to determine the appropriate situations to effectively apply leadership models in a value added manner.

A Master of Professional Studies in Leadership and Organizations can be earned in less than two years by completing 48 credit hours. Graduate certificates allow professionals to add a powerful skill set to their capabilities in one year by completing 24 credit hours. Credits earned as part of a graduate certificate can be applied toward the completion of a University College master’s degree.
