Ph.D., University of Denver, is an Assistant Professor at DU in 20th-Century American Literature with emphases on African-American, Caribbean, and Post-Colonial Literatures. She is the author of several articles on African-American folklore and literature, and her current research focuses on African-American and Caribbean sacred spiritual rites and Toni Morrison's narrative style. She has taught courses on the Jazz Age, Writers of the Americas, American Expatriates in Paris, and Being Mixed Race in America.
Dr. Wilcots teaches in University College's enrichment program and master of arts in liberal studies program at the University of Denver.
