M.A., University of Phoenix, is teaching Native American Literature for University College. She taught for seven years in the Diverse Learner Program for the University of Phoenix and for fourteen years teaching Elementary School for Jefferson County. She worked for two years as a counselor for emotionally disturbed adolescent girls at Excelsior Youth Center. She has done several presentations, reports on T.V. and radio interviews. She has also self-published two books of free verse titled The Promise of the Rainbow…After a Child Dies, and Embracing the Awakened Spirit. In 2006 she was chosen by the Museum of Nature and Science Native American Resource Group as Indian Educator of the Year. (MALS)
