Melanie Fredericks, MFA - Electronic Media Arts Design, is an artist working in electronic media, sound, and printmaking based out of Colorado.
Within the past two years she has shown her work at the International Digital Media Arts Association annual juried exhibition IDEAS (2006) and the Victoria Myhren Gallery's exhibition Beauty and it's Discontents (2007). She has also completed the 35' by 7' public art installation Kindred History (2006), located on the University of Colorado campus in the Wolf Law Building. Currently she is a finalist for the Denver Justice Center's public art initiative and a recipient of the Core Arts and Materials Fund grant.
She currently teaches Site Specific Design and Advanced Design classes as an assistant professor at the University of Denver in Colorado, and creates new media and print public art works and open source technology as her means.
