Alison Nishi

Alison Nishi received her MA in International and Intercultural Communication from the University of Denver and her BS in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. With an undergraduate minor in economics, she focused on media and political theory in her graduate work. Alison is the Academic Director for the Liberal Studies and Modern Languages programs at University College. She also teaches in the Liberal Studies (MALS), Human Resource Administration (HRA), and Bachelor of Arts Completion Program (BACP).

Prior to joining University College, Alison worked as a system design engineer for Hewlett Packard, contributing to customized test systems for products such as Nokia cell phones. She also spent several years with Believe Productions, an entrepreneurial fundraising company, working up from sales to the Director of Operations. Her duties included the management of customer service, order processing, and shipping.
