BS in Biological Sciences, with a Minor in Spanish, from Colorado State University, MS in Computer Information Systems, with an emphasis in Database Technologies, from Regis University. Brad works as a Database Administrator for Pharmion Corporation, a pharmaceutical company in Boulder, CO. He is responsible for all of the Oracle systems, from version 8i up through 10g, located in 4 different data centers across the globe. This includes keeping all of the databases up and running as efficiently as possible, doing performance tuning, and setting up and monitoring the backups. He also administers DB2 and SQL Server environments, as well as the Business Objects Enterprise system (for Crystal Reports). Previous to that, he worked at InfoNow Corporation, a global Enterprise Channel Management solution provider, where he had similar responsibilities. In addition to being a DBA, he assisted the development and implementation teams with data modeling and establishing the development, test and production database environments for new clients. Prior to InfoNow, he worked for Sandmonk Corporation, a database consulting company. There he focused on developing data warehousing applications, primarily using Sybase.
