Graduate Financial Aid
Financial assistance in the form of Stafford Loans is available to University College students who are unconditionally admitted to master’s degree or certificate programs. Students may apply for financial aid by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Financial aid documentation can be faxed to 303-871-2341. Please check the Office of Financial Aid’s website for relevant forms and deadlines. For more information please call 303-871-4020.
Students are required to submit a Title IV Authorization Form to the University of Denver Financial Aid Office. The Office of Financial Aid will notify students through DU e-mail should they need to submit additional documentation such as an Institutional Verification Form or copies of signed federal tax returns.
All first time borrowers at The University of Denver will be asked to complete the Entrance Counseling Interview and a Promissory Note. These can be completed at www.studentloanonline.com. When completing the master promissory note students will use DU as their lender.
You may check your financial aid award offer, view requirements for your account, and see the status of your loans online at WebCentral under the MyWeb tab.
To be eligible for financial aid, certificate students must be enrolled in a minimum of four credit hours per quarter; degree-seeking students must be enrolled in a minimum of four credit hours per quarter, non-degree students are not eligible for Financial Aid. The Office of Financial Aid will automatically reverse financial aid funds for students who are not registered in sufficient credit hours by the first week of the quarter. Please note that financial aid funds are normally dispersed for three quarters. If you wish to use financial aid to pay for summer quarter classes you must complete the summer application in the spring quarters from the Office of Financial Aid.
If you have questions concerning your financial aid status, please contact the University College Financial Services Coordinator, at 303-871-3945, 800-347-2042 option 7 or email cmiller@du.edu.
