Graduate Certificate Admission Process
Certificate applications consist of four components (the GMAT or GRE is not required). An explanation of each component is provided below.
Additional requirements exist for international students. To see a summary and explanation of international student requirements.
Applications
Certificate applications are reviewed for admission on a monthly basis. Students accepted after the posted deadline for a specific quarter will have a student record reflecting full acceptance for the subsequent quarter. Applicants will be notified of a decision via standard mail the week following the review. Please note that in order to be eligible for financial aid, students must be fully accepted prior to the start of the quarter. If you plan to be accepted to the following quarter or apply for financial aid the application deadlines below must be met:
(Students can begin taking classes before their master's degree or certificate application has been processed and accepted. If you miss an admissions deadline for a quarter you may still register for classes within that quarter.)
Fall Quarter 2008 - July 18, 2008
Winter Quarter 2008 - November 16, 2007
Spring Quarter 2008 - February 1, 2008
Summer Quarter 2008 - April 18, 2008

3. Two Official Transcripts From Your Undergraduate Institution
A regionally accredited baccalaureate degree is required for admission.
Please submit two official transcripts from the institution that conveyed your baccalaureate degree
4. Signed Certificate Plan
Your certiciate plan is a summary of all the courses required for your particular concentration and provides the structure through which you and your advisor will work together during your tenure as a student with us. Our certificate plans are available online and are organized by academic program.
To complete this portion of the application, please call our advising appointment line at 303-871-3367 to schedule a phone or in-person appointment with one of our program advisors. This initial advising session is designed to learn more about your goals and how the program and your advisor can best support you in accomplishing those goals.
Applications for certificates will be reviewed once all four required items have been submitted. For the Translation and Interpretation certificates, additional application requirements exist. Please contact your advisor for details.
Please note that we strongly prefer that you send all application requirements together, rather than individually (with exception to those items that can be sent via email). Official transcripts may be delivered to you as long as you keep them sealed. Sending application materials together allows us to process your application more efficiently.
