R1: Research With Impact Lecture Series – FREE on campus
The University of Denver holds the highest level of research designation possible from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, joining a small and prestigious list of other Research 1 (R1) classified universities in the U.S. Experience the scholarship of cutting-edge research with free lectures each term.
In addition to the esteemed R1 classification, the University of Denver’s commitment to cutting-edge research is exemplified through the work of renowned scholars like Dr. Kerstin Haring, an assistant professor of computer science in the Daniel Felix Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science, who focuses on AI for the Public Good. Haring’s research in this domain explores the ethical and practical implications of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in various sectors, aiming to harness AI technologies for the betterment of society.
