Innovative Graduate Programs
A new approach for a new era
In an era where change is constant and rapid, advancing your career and accomplishing what is important to you, your family, and community depends on an ability to anticipate and adapt to evolving situations. That is why University College has developed a new vision for what it means to deliver the most effective professional education to working adults – the Professional Options Curriculum.
This powerful curriculum allows you to custom design a degree or certificate that best fits your needs, and provides you with the components necessary for sustained professional success; a strategic in-depth understanding of the broad economic sector in which you work (Professional Foundations courses), specialized skills (Professional Specialty courses), and techniques and methods that can be immediately applied. Additionally, because not all professionals are the same, with their own particular employment settings, unique roles within these settings, and personal interests and aspirations for advancement, we give you the opportunity to choose the skills you need to develop to meet your goals (Further Studies Options).
Whether you take your classes evenings on campus, online, or a combination of both you will truly gain the ability to adapt and create, and recognize and capitalize on opportunities in this dynamic environment.
University College graduate programs include:
- • ten graduate programs,
- • and nearly 40 graduate certificates and degree concentrations
Our master’s degrees require 48 hours of study (12 courses) and can be completed within 18 months. Our graduate certificates require 24 hours of study (6 courses) and can be completed within one year.
All of our graduate programs are fully accredited, offered online and evenings, and are guided by specific academic outcomes. Our instructors are accomplished professionals in the subject areas in which they teach. Industry advisory boards provide input and help to guide the direction of our programs. All of this ensures that you receive a degree that you can use right away with the most up-to-date best practices, and prepares you for future developments in your industry.
Our graduate admissions policies are streamlined to meet the needs of working adults and allowing you to get started with your coursework immediately.
Both online and campus classes are ten weeks in length, and four starting points per year.
Bachelor’s completion worthy of working adults
Far from 101
University College offers working adults who have at least one year of transferrable college credit the ability to finish their degree and earn a bachelor of arts evenings or online. We believe that earning a bachelor’s degree should be a life changing experience. That’s why we meet students where they are in their lives now, not where they were when they started their degrees years ago. Instead of asking you to repeat introductory first-year subjects, we present you with courses that are more challenging and appropriate for your experiences as a working adult.
Non-credit programs engaging the mind and building community
At University College we believe that education truly a lifelong process and that the key to a dynamic and healthy community is actively engaged members of that community. That’s why we are proud to offer non-credit educational experiences, which give community members the opportunity to stay engage in an active discussion on topics from history and contemporary issues to science, literature and the arts, and much more -- without the pressures of exams, grades, or admission requirements.
We offer two different non-credit programs, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Denver and the Enrichment Program. These programs provide adults with the opportunities to stay connected and make new connections, which enrich and strengthen our community.
